FOOD PANTRY

Food security in every season

At Good Cheer’s Food Pantry, neighbors can count on finding fresh, healthy food whenever they need it. From farm-fresh veggies to pantry staples, everything is free and available to anyone in our community. No barriers, no judgment: just good food and a warm welcome.

What makes our Food Pantry extra special is the way it’s set up: like a grocery store! Neighbors get to choose the foods that fit their family’s needs and tastes. After all, everyone deserves to shop with choice and respect.

Accessible Options

how it works

1. Check In
Start your visit at our Check-In Window, whether you’re new to Good Cheer or a returning shopper. Our staff will let you know how many shopping points you have for the month.

2. Wait for a Cart
Because our space is cozy, we limit how many carts can be in the pantry at once. When a cart becomes available, it’s your turn to shop!

3. Shop for What You Need
Browse our shelves and choose the foods that work best for you and your household, just keep your points budget in mind as you shop.

4. Check Out
When you’re done, head to the blue checkout stands. A friendly volunteer will tally your points and let you know how many you have left for the month.

 FAQs

  • A food bank stores and supplies food in bulk. A food pantry is where neighbors come to pick up the food and take it home.

  • At Good Cheer, everyone is welcome - no ID, documents, or proof of income required. Just come as you are and get the food you need.

  • At the Food Pantry, we use a simple points system instead of prices. Each household gets a set number of points every month, based on how many people live with you and their ages. Every item in the pantry “costs” a certain number of points, and you can shop using your points to choose the foods that work best for your family.
