Making steady progress

On Saturday, Feb. 28th another great group of volunteers continued the work of preparing the beds for planting. We also finished planting the raspberries on the west side of the garden where this path leads to. Future U-Pick!working-in-the-lime-and-fertilizerLime and organic fertilizer were spread and worked into the soil.removing-stumps1The day before this Saturday work party, Wayne Morrison removed three stumps with his backhoe, clearing the south east corner of the garden so that we can build a three-bin compost system and install the fence.March 4th we begin our weekly "Wednesday is Good Cheer garden day" work party.  Come for as long or short as you can from 9 - noon, and 1 - 4 pm with a picnic lunch in between.We're also starting the fence next Friday, March 6th!
