New raised box beds

Blake Willeford, Marcia Wiley and Peter Martin built 4 raised box beds for the west side of the picnic area. These boxes will be a lovely border to the picnic area, and grow strawberries, herbs and edible flowers.We’ve been steadily collecting wood from Hanson’s seconds pile, steeply discounted, but, alas, didn’t have quite enough to finish!
 
 
 Wish List:-- wood (2 x 6’s, 2 x 8’s and 2x10’s) to finish off two more 10 ft x 3 1/2 ft x 16 inch box beds.-- topsoil to fill up the beds. We have strawberries waiting to be planted in them.Blake, Marcia and Peter can return on the work party Wednesday, Feb. 25th to finish off the beds, and set them in the ground.
